The Markman Lab, located in the Department of Psychology at Stanford University, focuses on a wide variety of topics in conceptual and language development.

Our lab is led by Ellen M. Markman, the Lewis M. Terman Professor of Psychology.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

In this scheduled video chat with a researcher, your child will be asked about their interest in a few different careers, with some children being read short excerpts of storybooks about women in those careers as well. We will learn how storybooks shape children's interest in various careers.
